Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Ocean Import Coordinator to join our clients dynamic logistics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ocean import operations, familiarity with international shipping regulations, and the ability to coordinate shipments efficiently. This role requires expertise in CargoWise , knowledge of Incoterms and quoting , and experience handling foreign-to-foreign shipments . Additionally, experience with Project Cargo , including Ro-Ro, out of gauge, flatracks, heavy haul, and permitted loads , is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the end-to-end process of ocean import shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Utilize CargoWise to manage shipment data, track cargo, and ensure compliance with customs regulations. Prepare and review import documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and arrival notices. Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to coordinate shipments. Provide accurate quotes to clients, factoring in Incoterms, freight rates, duties, and other costs. Handle and manage foreign-to-foreign shipments , ensuring proper documentation and regulatory compliance. Manage Project Cargo , including Ro-Ro, out of gauge, flatracks, heavy haul, and permitted loads , ensuring proper handling and compliance with regulations. Resolve shipment discrepancies and work proactively to prevent delays in the supply chain. Maintain strong relationships with vendors, clients, and internal teams to optimize import operations. Stay up to date with international trade regulations and import/export compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in ocean import logistics . Proficiency in CargoWise for shipment tracking and documentation. Strong understanding of Incoterms and the ability to generate accurate quotes. Experience handling foreign-to-foreign shipments , including customs documentation and compliance. Experience with Project Cargo , including Ro-Ro, out of gauge, flatracks, heavy haul, and permitted loads. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously. Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, carriers, and internal teams. Why Join Us?
