This individual acts as one of the primary point of contacts for international shipping who organizes, plans, and communicates the day-to-day export activities with Warehouse, Customer Service, Demand Planning, International Transportation, and Inventory. This position will also ensure US export activities are accurate and compliant with all applicable government regulations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Run open order report daily, determine, and prepare shipment consolidation by demand/order priority. Lead a team of individuals on defining daily priorities and ensuring goals are met. Define weekly load plans with International Supervisor and coordinate with International Transportation and/or Freight Forwarders as necessary. Generate all necessary export related documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, shippers’ letter of instruction, and any other document through Oracle ERP system and manually as necessary. Use the ACE portal to complete necessary EEI filings. Collaborate closely with ICU Trade Compliance team to obtain the US HTS, Country of Origin, and ECCN as necessary. Review export documentation for accuracy and obtain B/L from freight forwarders. Maintain international shipping documentation required per the company’s record retention policy. Anticipate and facilitate problem resolution in relation to shipments to avoid operational disruption. Collaborate with internal Customer Service to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction on international orders and provide trade compliance support on current shipments as needed. Participate in the ERP system integration and testing process as needed. Work on special projects as they arise. Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications Working knowledge of Export document requirements and Incoterms Must have effective oral and written skills Must be adaptable and work well under pressure Must possess critical thinking and excellent problem-solving skills Understands International Shipping requirements Familiarity with HTS and country of origin Ability to work independently under minimal supervision Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Experienced working with Microsoft applications (Office, Excel, Word) Dangerous Goods
IATA/DOT
certification is a nice-to-have Oracle or other ERP system experience preferred Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred Minimum of one (2) year experience in import, export, and international Shipping Knowledge of international trade and Customs regulations, such as Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
