  • The Siemens Energy North America Customs team ensurescompliance with customs regulations and internal requirements efficiently.

Aspart of the North America Customs team, the Customs Quality function conductsreviews, leads corrective actions, optimizes processes, identifies dutysavings, prepares reports, locally implements IT demands for corporate coresolutions and handles customs duty payments for Siemens Energy, Inc. This roleis primarily responsible for controlling and auditing with a focus on customscompliance with U.S. import regulations and SE Customs Internal ControlProgram, conducting regular internal reviews, deploying quality measures andimplementing corrective actions!

  • How You’ll Make an Impact
  • + Thisrole involves expertise in customs import requirements, including entry,customs valuation, PGAs, special programs, and trade remedies (201, 301,232, quotas).

The responsibility involves developing and implementing theinternal review program, covering daily entry verification and periodicpost-entry audit and spot-checks in a timely manner. + Interfacewith all stakeholders including business functions, customs brokers,customs operations and suppliers to acquire needed information to ensureconsistency with defined import and export processes, conduct root-causeanalysis, and drive corrective actions. + Preparepost summary corrections and protests. Support the Regulatory team inactivities to respond to CBP requests for information. + Develop,collaborate, communicate, and lead all aspects of customs key performanceindicators to ensure quality and compliance across high-risk customsareas. Regularly communicate KPIs and findings to relevant stakeholdersincluding customs brokers, customs management, and business areas. + Supportthe Customs duties ACH Periodic Monthly Statement program. Monitor entryliquidations and refunds.

  • What You Bring
  • + Bachelor’sDegree or equivalent of education and experience in related field.

+ 7+years of direct related experience in import operations and auditing. + Excellentknowledge of 19 CFR U.S. Customs regulations, US Tariff database, GeneralRules of Interpretation and customs brokerage activities. + LicensedCustoms Broker or Certified Customs Specialist is preferred. + Experiencewith ERPs, preferably SAP, and Global Trade management software ispreferred. + Adaptability,effective collaboration across cultures, organizational, problem-solving,analytical, and interpretative skills. + Thisrole requires individuals with outstanding interpersonal skills, adedication to ethical behavior, excellent organizational abilities, keenattention to detail, strong self-motivation, and a collaborative approach.
