  • The Siemens Energy North America Customs team ensurescompliance with customs regulations and internal requirements efficiently.

Aspart of the North America Customs team, the Customs Quality function conductsreviews, manages corrective actions, optimizes processes, identifies dutysavings, prepares reports, locally implements IT demands for corporate coresolutions and handles customs duty payments for Siemens Energy, Inc. This roleis primarily responsible for analyzing preferential origin, identifying dutysavings, implementing related duty optimization processes, and supportingtraining.

  • How You’ll Make an Impact
  • + Handlerequests for preferential certificates of origin, analyze origin and billof materials, oversee the solicitation program, issue FTA-compliantcertifications, and keep records with supporting documentation.

+ Identifycustoms duty savings by regularly analyzing goods flows and usingoptimization programs such as FTAs, FTA reconciliation, FTZ, Chapter 98provisions and duty drawback. + PrepareFTA refund claims by evaluating entries, collecting documents, submittingUSMCA Reconciliation requests to Customs Brokers, and monitoring theircompletion. + Supportthe duty drawback program, including collection and auditing of allimports, production, manufacturing and export data and documentation priorto claim submissions. + Collaboratewith Siemens Energy business areas, suppliers, customs brokers, and otherCustoms Compliance functions to align processes, monitor changes in dutyprograms, and support compliance improvements and digitalizationinitiatives. + Supportresponses to CBP inquiries about FTA and preferential programs, completedaily and special tasks per SE Customs Internal Control Program andregulations, and report key performance indicators as needed. Providetraining, guidance and assistance to business areas and the U.S. Customsoperation regarding CBP’s duty optimization programs requirements andobligations.

  • + BSdegree or equivalent of education and experience in related field.

+ 4+years of related experience. + Knowledgeof 19 CFR U.S. Customs regulations. Licensed Customs Broker or CertifiedCustoms Specialist is a plus! + Experiencewith ERPs, preferably SAP, and Global Trade management software. + Adaptability,effective collaboration across cultures, organizational, problem-solving,analytical, and interpretative skills. + Applicantsmust be legally authorized for employment in the United States withoutneed for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
