- The Siemens Energy North America Customs team ensurescompliance with customs regulations and internal requirements efficiently.
Aspart of the North America Customs team, the Customs Quality function conductsreviews, manages corrective actions, optimizes processes, identifies dutysavings, prepares reports, locally implements IT demands for corporate coresolutions and handles customs duty payments for Siemens Energy, Inc. This roleprimarily manages projects and supports ERP and GTM system implementation inNorth America (U.S. and Canada), advising the project team of Customsregulatory requirements, along with designing related Customs processes!

RegulatoryRequirements Analysis:
Identify import regulations for Self-Filing andensure compliance with the U.S. CBP, CBSA and other applicable federalagency requirements by working closely with Customs Regulatory team. +
OperationalProcess Development:
Outline steps for import Self-Filing and createstep-by-step guides and process mapping tailored to Siemens Energy’simport activities and products. Ensure processes align with GTM scope andcorporate integration principles. +
TrainingDelivery:
Train the Customs operations team on requirements and proceduresfor import entries. Provide training materials, emphasizing integrationwith GTM and ERP project approach. +
Documentationand Support:
Document all findings, processes, and training materials,reflecting GTM and ERP alignment, ensuring compliance with import andexport requirements. Offer post-training support for smoothimplementation. +
Communication:
Handle communication with all project stakeholders, including globalCustoms and other functions, ensuring timely delivery of information. + Responsiblefor other project management and implementation activities within the SENorth America Customs function.
- What You Bring
- + Bachelor’sDegree or equivalent of education and experience in related field.
+ 10+years of direct related experience in U.S. import operations, relatedprocess implementations and project management. + Experiencewith ERPs, preferably SAP, and Global Trade management softwareimplementation is required. Excellent knowledge of 19 CFR U.S. Customsregulations, self-filing and customs brokerage activities is arequirement. Knowledge of Canadian import regulations is preferred. + LicensedCustoms Broker or Certified Customs Specialist is preferred. + Adaptability,effective collaboration across cultures, organizational, problem-solving,analytical, and interpretative skills. + Thisrole requires strong interpersonal attributes including high ethicalstandards, strong organizational and communication skills, high attentionto detail, highly self-motivated and a team player.
