A DAY IN THE LIFE
Manage transportation bookings from inquiry to completion Identifying and eliciting new client opportunities Provide rate quotes to clients for services Conduct presentations in client-facing and carrier-facing meetings Perform client interactions like prospecting, qualifying, cold calling, negotiating, and closing deals Build wide and effective networks of contacts inside and outside the organization Work productively in a pressurized environment Keep up to date with market trends; controls costs and thinks in terms of profit, loss, and added value Tracking and providing back-up to the transportation team Qualifications
WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR
Previous logistics broker background Knowledge of the trucking industry and market Ability to provide transportation sales training to brokers Enjoys working towards goals and objectives in a competitive environment High-level customer service skills Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Strong numeracy skills Additional Information
