Competitive Pay:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive professional to join our team full-time. In this role, you will support our operations by handling critical customs brokerage processes and delivering excellent client service via phone and email. Prior experience in customs brokerage or freight/cargo is a plus but not mandatory—our team is committed to training the right candidate. We’re looking for someone with strong organizational skills, and a knack for working with numbers and units of measure. Please note that holding a valid customs broker license is a requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare U.S. Customs entries for various imports, including RLF entries, and manage heavy FDA data input. Submit electronic and physical documentation to U.S. agencies, including Customs, FDA, USDA, Fish & Wildlife, and NOAA. File export documentation (e.g., AES via ACE Portal). Classify shipments using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) for customs clearance. Support brokerage operations, assisting with paperwork, document filing, billing, and transportation logistics.

Perform light accounting tasks:

invoicing, billing, and general bookkeeping support. Utilize ABI (Automated Broker Interface) for customs operations. Communicate professionally via phone and email with clients, brokers, and agencies. Maintain organized records for audits and internal reviews.

Qualifications:

License:

customs broker license.

Education:

High school diploma required; college degree preferred but not mandatory.

Skills:

1. Strong math and data entry skills. 2. Excellent attention to detail, spelling, and grammar. 3. Experience with Microsoft Office; familiarity with brokerage software (e.g., ABI) is a plus.
