Oversees staff accountants, payroll, and accounts payable employees. Plans, coordinates and monitors all general accounting and payroll activities, reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts, preparation and analysis of hospital financial statements and reports, financial and operational audits, cost reports, state and federal reporting requirements. Assists in preparation of annual hospital budget. Assistance to external auditors and hospital management. Cash management and investment accounting. Extensive use of computer and software systems. Directs the general accounting functions of the hospital.
Prepares financial statements and other financial reporting.
Directs the payroll and time and attendance system functions.
Coordinates the annual financial audit.
Assists in the annual budgeting process.
Directs the activities of Accounting Services.
Prepares month-end accounting entries.
B.S. Degree in Accounting; Prefer 5 years progressive accounting experience in a hospital environment. Proven supervisory skills.
