As a key member of the Senior Management team, the individual leads a team of 3-5 and directly reports to the President. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a high-performing finance team while collaborating with corporate departments. Manage monthly financial close processes in NetSuite (NS) and ensure accurate, GAAP-compliant reporting with timely uploads to the corporate platform (HFM). Oversee cash management, collections, disbursements, payroll, and HR-related financial activities. Ensure strong internal controls, manage financial risks, and coordinate with external auditors for annual audits. Drive automation and productivity improvements across the finance function. Maintain proficiency in technical accounting areas such as revenue recognition and compliance with GAAP standards. Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations to executive management. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Manage inventory and fixed asset reviews, annual audits, tax returns, and updates to accounting policies. Supervisory Responsibility Directly supervises the Accounting Department staff and provides organizational leadership. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required. 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance management in retail or manufacturing. Proven success in a hands-on, team-based environment with both strategic and tactical focus. Strong oral and written communication skills for interacting across all levels of the organization. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Critical thinker with attention to detail, capable of identifying gaps and providing actionable insights. Results-oriented with the ability to set goals and prioritize effectively. Work Environment Moderate noise levels with occasional interruptions and shifting priorities. Requires effective communication and frequent use of computers and communication devices. The pace of work depends on production, sales goals, and business strategies. Physical Demands Primarily seated work with occasional standing and walking. Ability to lift office supplies up to 20 pounds, occasionally up to 40 pounds.
