We are seeking a talented and experienced Controller Head of Accounting to lead our financial operations and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
Position Summary:
The Controller – Head of Accounting will be responsible for overseeing all financial reporting, compliance, and accounting functions for the U.S. operations. This senior-level role requires a strategic, detail-oriented, and analytical professional with strong leadership skills who can collaborate effectively with our headquarters and internal stakeholders across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the financial reporting process, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal company policies. Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations. Develop and implement financial reporting strategies to support business growth, transparency, and efficiency. Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting and controlling teams, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with a high level of accuracy and timeliness. Conduct detailed variance analyses and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership. Act as the main liaison with the Global Finance Team, ensuring alignment on global financial reporting standards and policies. Ensure full compliance with internal controls, regulatory standards, and audit requirements; coordinate with auditors and legal advisors as needed. Identify opportunities to improve and streamline accounting processes, implementing best practices across the finance function. Support the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes in collaboration with the FP&A team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required. 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and controlling, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Deep technical expertise in U.S. GAAP and familiarity with international accounting principles. Proven ability to work with global finance teams and align regional practices with corporate requirements. Strong leadership and people management skills with a track record of developing finance talent. Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred), Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and manage multiple priorities.
