Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Accounting to lead our U.S. accounting operations from our Miami (Doral) office. The ideal candidate will be a CPA with a strong background in general accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting within the food and beverage or packaged goods distribution industry. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring accurate financial management, overseeing month-end close processes, and maintaining compliance with U.S. regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the company’s accounting operations for the U.S. market. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings. Handle federal and state tax filings, compliance, and audits. Develop internal controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts. Collaborate with the executive team to align financial strategies with business goals. Serve as the point of contact for external auditors and tax consultants.
Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA – USA required). Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. 6-8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in food & beverage or consumer packaged goods (CPG). Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
