We’re seeking a future team member for the role ofDirector, Fund/Client Accounting Manager to join our team. Thisrole is located in Lake Mary, FL – HYBRID. In this role, you’llmake an impact in the following ways: Directs a Fund Accountingarea consisting of multiple teams that are responsible forconducting accounting services on behalf of a broad array ofassigned clients including determining net asset values,calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparingreports. Responsible for the financial and human resources for theunit and ensures assigned teams are operating effectively to meetunit goals and objectives. Executes business plans and contributesto the development of functional strategy. Sets guidelines fordetermining the net asset value (NAV) for funds in a variety ofsectors for each measurement cycle. Promotes consistency acrossproduct areas. Oversees relationship management for a broad set ofclients. Ensures customer service levels meet client needs andresolves any client issues. Participates in sales efforts includingRFP and RFI preparation and related presentations. Providesoversight and guidance in setting the processes that check for thecompleteness and accuracy of disclosure in financial statements.
Resolves complex escalated issues from team members. Leads analysisof GAAP and/or IFRS rules to determine impact of new regulations onBNY Mellon fund accounting practices. Develops policies to bestensure compliance with new regulations. Sets guidelines, policies,and priorities for the drafting of financial reports for a broadset of clients to review fund performance. Communicates reports andhighly complex accounting intricacies to clients. Recruits,directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individualcontribution, their professional growth and their ability tofunction effectively with their colleagues as a team. Overseesrelationships with senior-level auditors and clients to ensurefinancial reporting meets their expectations and accurately depictsfund performance. Manages multiple Fund/Client Accounting teamsthat do work for a broad array of clients. Work is primarilyaccomplished through subordinate managers. Contributes to theachievement of multiple teams objectives To be successful in thisrole, we’re seeking the following: Bachelors degree in accountingor the equivalent combination of education and experience isrequired. 7-10 years of total work experience and at least 3-5years in management preferred. Big 4 accounting firm experiencepreferred.
