Director of Accounting Position Available In Durham, North Carolina

Description We are looking for an experienced Director of Accounting to lead and oversee our financial operations and reporting. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage accounting processes, ensure compliance, and contribute to financial planning efforts. Based in Durham, North Carolina, this position will play a critical role in driving efficiency and accuracy across all accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Implement and maintain accounting software systems such as BlackLine and Concur to optimize processes.
• Oversee financial audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Develop and monitor budgets to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering growth and collaboration.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and data integration.
• Evaluate and improve internal controls and financial procedures.
• Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations related to financial services. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounting leadership roles, with a strong background in financial management.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including BlackLine and Concur.
• Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.
• Expertise in auditing practices and regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting and financial planning processes.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and data integration for financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities, with a track record of team management.
