The Corporate Controller will lead the Company’s accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting functions. This individual will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial statements and oversee general ledger management, technical accounting, consolidations, audits, and compliance with internal controls. The Corporate Controller will play a key leadership role in scaling the finance function, supporting continued growth through M&A, and partnering closely with business unit leaders and the Chief Accounting Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Oversight Oversee timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. Prepare lender, investor, and board reporting packages. Manage the monthly close process and ensure strong internal controls over financial reporting. Monitors debt levels and compliance with debt covenants. Leadership & Team Management Lead, develop, and mentor a growing accounting team. Partner with District Controllers, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, and Human Resources to ensure complete accounting records. Create a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development. Technical Accounting Research and apply complex accounting issues (e.g., revenue recognition, lease accounting, purchase accounting, impairment). Maintain accounting policies and procedures documentation. Audit & Compliance Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual financial audit. Ensure compliance with internal controls and support internal audit functions. M&A Integration Support due diligence, purchase accounting, and post-acquisition integration activities. Establish scalable processes for onboarding acquired companies into the financial systems and reporting structure. Systems & Process Improvement Drive automation and process enhancements to support a scalable finance infrastructure. Oversee ERP optimization and alignment across business units. Participate in ERP implementation project

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required. 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, consolidations, internal controls, and financial reporting. Experience in a private equity-backed, multi-entity, or multi-location business preferred. Track record of successful ERP and system implementations (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics). Advanced level skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet key deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with acquisition integration in a high-growth or roll-up business model. Background in construction, distribution, or specialty contracting sectors. Public accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm) strongly preferred.
