Job Description
The Senior Director, Pharma Services Group (PSG) Global Controller acts as a leader to the business in supporting the delivery of our near and long-term financial objectives. The scope of responsibilities includes all Accounting and Controllership activities to implement upon financial goals and initiatives to support a growing organization!

With a keen understanding of laws, regulations and compliance as well as reporting requirements consistent with USGAAP, this team uses innovative financial systems and controls, data security and robust processes to protect the company’s assets and support its short- and long-term growth on a global scale. From technical accounting to budgeting and forecasting to planning and reporting, you will build relationships with internal and external audit teams as well as key business partners to drive sophisticated business decisions. You will have an opportunity to build strong organizational alliances to understand and mitigate risk, as well as capture opportunities and provide valuable support to all business partners.
What you will do:
Lead the core accounting and control activities of PSG, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, SOX, internal policies, and other regulatory standards.
Lead a team of senior-level divisional and site controllers responsible for accounting and compliance activities.
Coordinate revenue recognition processes in partnership with Technical Accounting, including reviewing significant new and modified contracts and ensuring compliance with ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition).
Show fresh, insightful business thinking, combining creative insight with a deep understanding of business processes and systems to drive continuous improvement and practical innovation.
Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and communicate financial performance and forecasts.
Partner with other PSG leaders and departments to drive optimization in processes and systems.
Set strategy and objectives for the Controllership team.
Coordinate the work performed by the accounting shared service centers.
Partner with Technical Accounting teams to implement new standards and review complex topics to ensure accurate accounting treatment.
Focus on outcomes and impact, setting the bar high for performance and unequivocally holding others to their commitments.
Establish and maintain strong internal control systems to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and mitigate financial risks that could impact the organization’s financial performance.
Conduct financial analysis, balance sheet reviews, and performance evaluations to support decision-making, identify trends, and provide insights into the financial health of the organization.
Build and lead a high-performing Controllership team, providing mentorship, mentor, and development opportunities to ensure the team’s efficiency and professional growth. Empower the team to drive continuous improvement every day.
How you will get here:
Education and Experience

Required:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 15+ years of accounting experience, including 10+ years of management or advanced leadership.

Required:

CPA, or equivalent certification.

Required:

Controllership experience with a large global company.

Preferred:

Experience in the Life Sciences industry.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Demonstrated ability to lead a large distributed team and drive meaningful change.
Outstanding skills in accounting with detailed knowledge of ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), specifically around Revenue recognized over time.
Excellent research, reporting, and analytical skills.
Strong organizational agility and demonstrated drive for results.
Ability to exercise judgment and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively plan for both long and short-term objectives.
Travel requirements
20% domestic/international travel required.
