Director of Fund Accounting and Operations Position Available In New York, New York

PWP Employer 2 LP (dba Perella Weinberg Partners) seeks a Director of Fund Accounting and Operations for its New York, NY location.

Duties:

Cover the accounting and reporting processes for private equity and hedge funds and ensure compliance with our Registered Investment Adviser’s accounting standards and regulations. Manage the preparation and review of tax filings for alternative investment vehicles, including partnership and tax-exempt entities. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management, managing multiple management stakeholder relationships as well as vendor management. Undertake numerous duties for third party administered funds and self-administered funds. For third party administered funds, review financial statements, management reports, and investor communications to ensure accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with CFO office and external service providers in the coordination and governance oversight with external service providers, including valuation agents, legal advisors, external auditors, and others. Interact with investment teams and PWP CM senior management on portfolio investment-related activities. Provide financial and tax advice to senior management, including conducting financial analysis and modeling for various investment scenarios. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and operations, to ensure efficient and effective management of portfolios. Navigate complex fund/accounting structures to facilitate ongoing inquiries and communications. Work with auditors and tax advisors on funds’ audit and tax filings. Coordinate with senior management on any data required for management reports and regulatory filings.

Requirements:

Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, or related field and three (3) years of experience as a FSO Assurance Senior or related position.

Experience must include:

Utilizing accounting principles and standards to oversee the preparation of complex financial statements and ensure accuracy in fund reporting; Report on fee arrangements and performance metrics for private equity funds; Implementing and enhancing accounting processes to improve efficiency and scalability; Managing the integration of new investment or acquisitions, ensuring smooth adaptation of accounting and operational systems; Overseeing tax compliance by working closely with tax advisors to ensure accurate tax reporting and optimization; and, Managing the preparation and review of tax-related documentation and addressing any tax related issues.

Salary:
