Job Description:

The Director, Financial Reporting is a very dynamic, highly visible and active role reporting to OneOncology’s Senior Director, Asst. Corporate Controller. This position will fill a key role within the OneOncology Finance organization leading the Financial Reporting team. This individual will have high visibility with the CFO and VP level within the organization while assisting in the evaluation of transaction structures and determining appropriate accounting treatment of potential business decisions. This individual will serve as a technical accounting expert interacting daily with a broad, cross functional group of operational, clinical, financial, and corporate teams to evaluate business decisions and the impact on OneOncology’s financial statements. The Director, Financial Reporting will serve an important role as the Company continues to grow both organically and through acquisitions expanding our business models. This role will be responsible for a wide range of activities to include financial reporting, technical accounting conclusions and some month-end close activities for the Corporate entities. This individual will work closely with the practice accounting team as each practice’s financial statements are prepared and evaluated each month. They will serve as a technical accounting subject matter expert and should be able to communicate complex accounting conclusions to non-accountants. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, critical thinking proficiency, and strong communication skills. The candidate must be customer-centric and have the ability to balance the demands of a rapidly growing, complex entrepreneurial environment where ingenuity, rather than precedence, drives how things should be done. Responsibilities Lead and manage the members of the Financial Reporting team Develop and document technical accounting conclusions for various transactions ranging from simple to complex Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting of Corporate and consolidated OneOncology results monthly Work closely with the Treasury team on quarterly lender reporting and covenant compliance Evaluate financial and operational process changes to improve efficiency and scalability Serve as an accounting resource for the Corporate and Practice Accounting teams Assume primary responsibility for coordinating the Company’s external audit including timelines, managing the auditors, and overseeing the completion of the Company’s US GAAP based consolidated financial statements Participate in the continued optimization of the Company’s ERP system (Workday) Manage the due to/due from account reconciliation process with the Practice Accounting teams and serve as a resource to practice leaders as questions arise Support Strategic Finance, Practice Accounting, Business Development, and FP&A on acquisition evaluation and lead acquisition accounting Develop, coordinate, communicate and enforce financial reporting policies, procedures and controls across the accounting organization Support Tax Department with acquisition related tax communications as well as annual K-1 reporting needs Collaborate across multiple departments including accounting, strategic finance, operations, legal, business development, etc. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and drive efficiencies Drive automation of financial and operational reporting processes. Qualifications Minimum 6-8 years of accounting leadership experience in a public accounting or corporate accounting environment that demonstrates a commanding knowledge in accounting – some level of healthcare experience preferred, but not required Prior experience within a Big Four firm required Proven knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and SEC regulations Ability to simplify complex accounting topics to non-accountants Knowledge of internal accounting controls, industry practices (healthcare specific preferred) and the ability to research and document complex accounting and financial topics Ability to think on their feet in meetings and provide real time solutioning and brainstorming Comfortable professionally debating potential solutions and a demonstrated willingness to listen and provide multiple accounting alternatives to address requests Proven ability to manage and develop accounting talent Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Workday experience a plus Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting required Active CPA license required. Position will be located in office in Nashville #LI-AN1
