Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Financial Aid Coordinator responsible for completing all aspects of assisting students with financial assistance programs, federal, state and institutional.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists students completing applications for all forms of student financial assistance (Federal, State, Veterans, Employer, etc.). Monitors entrance and exit counseling for student borrowers. Performs data entry posting payments and file maintenance using
STARS CMS
Performs need analysis and provide documents to Third Party Servicer for Aid Packaging. Processing of R2T4 to third party for Federal processing organization of student monthly payments and collections Verifies and corrects financial aid application data. Prepares Professional Judgment applications for review by the Financial Aid Director Maintains student financial files, assembles new student information and student start up forms for Third Party and performs other clerical assignments. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Financial Aid and/or School Director/ President. Regular and reliable attendance.
Skills/Competencies/Qualifications:
Must have 1-3years experience as a financial aid officer or finance services experience. Knowledge-Training of Federal and State financial aid regulations with specific knowledge of Title IV. Excellent oral and written communication skills Works well with team organizational culture. Ability to interact with all cultures of individuals. Impeccable organization skills Detail oriented problem solver and the ability to multi-task. Competency in the use of a computer Hardware, Software (Microsoft office, Teams, Video Conference, etc) and other office equipment Ability to work in an environment that can be fast-paced Physical mobility throughout the facility Bachelor’s degree preferred
