Responsibilities:

1. Counsels and advises students and families about financial aid eligibility, application procedures, costs, and etc.
2. Oversees the daily file loading processes that include receiving FAFSAs, entrance/exit counseling, PLUS loan applications, and etc.
3. Processes C-flags and other notices hindering the automatic awarding of a student’s aid.
4. Conducts all electronic communication notices to students.
5. Reviews student applications for accuracy, and to determine financial need and award aid in accordance with applicable federal, state and institutional policies and regulations.
6. Ensures compliance with all financial aid policies, procedures, and regulations when reviewing financial aid applications.
7. Conducts financial aid presentations, which may include travel or after-hours seminars.
8. Maintains confidentiality in all pertinent matters.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required.
Strong communication, organizational, and time managements skills are required.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office is needed.

Salary:

Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and university’s resources.

Experience in financial aid office or higher education setting
Knowledge of Ellucian Banner software
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Attention to detail
