75FEE565-0B16-4737-B6B38DD0AC916837 Reporting to the Associate Vice President (AVP) for Enrollment Management and Financial Aid, the Hamilton College Financial Aid Project Support Specialist is responsible for providing backfill support to the current Financial Aid Award Specialist and the AVP for Enrollment Management and Financial Aid throughout a two-year Workday Student implementation project. This is a full time, benefit eligible, fixed term remote position beginning June/July 2025 and through June 30, 2027. The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $34.00. On-site training or meeting attendance may be required and travel reimbursement would be provided. Due to the immediate need and temporary nature of this position, we are seeking an experienced financial aid professional who already has fundamental financial aid knowledge and skills. Ideally, this experienced professional will have 3-5 years of prior experience in financial aid and will be able to onboard smoothly and quickly. Supporting the Financial Aid Award Specialist includes the following responsibilities; daily support in the areas of awarding and disbursement of institutional, state, and federal financial aid for prospective and current students. Additional details and duties are outlined below. Supporting the AVP for Enrollment Management and Financial Aid included the following responsibilities: providing administrative support in processing Student Emergency Aid Society (SEAS) requests; support with meeting and email management; and reporting assistance with Federal Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), annual Federal Work Study (FWS) earnings, and annual Financial Value Transparency (FVT). Guide.
Financial Aid Award Specialist Support Responsibilities:
Package incoming and enrolled students via PowerFAIDS database system, including subsequent revisions. This includes detailed checking for accuracy with multiple guidelines for specific awards, maintaining system budget updates, and communicating accordingly with prospective and current families.
Revise currently enrolled student offers, when informed by the Registrar of enrollment changes, and communicate accordingly with impacted students.
Authorize disbursements for institutional, federal and state awards, working closing with Student Accounts Office to ensure accurate student account transmittal.
Originate, disburse, maintain, and reconcile the Federal Pell Grant program.
Certify student eligibility for New York State financial aid programs, specifically the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP). This includes confirming eligibility, maintaining the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) database for student records, and keeping up to date with New York State regulations. Responsible for making appropriate award changes to student’s financial aid offer.
Award and monitor NYS Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) eligibility.
Annual reconciliation of institutional, state and federal funds, as required. Manage the identification of recipients for endowed Hamilton College Scholarships and appropriate spending based on fund restrictions and availability. In addition, apply Hamilton prize scholarships and special scholarships to student awards.
Collaborate with the Student Accounts Office to manage the reporting and receipt of outside scholarships and adjust financial aid awards accordingly.
Responsible for return of Title IV aid, through appropriate federal and institutional systems. Must keep up to date with applicable federal regulations.
Create and maintain documentation for all processes for which the Financial Aid Award Specialist is responsible. Perform other related duties as required or assigned. AVP for

Manage the Student Emergency Aid Society (SEAS) tracking and communication.
Conduct end of semester Federal Standards of Academic Progress (SAP) review.
Prepare and submit annual Federal Work Study (FWS) earnings report.
Collaborate with campus partners to complete Financial Value Transparency (FVT) reporting, as needed. As time allows, begin creating a Financial Aid Policy & Procedures Manual using the
NASFAA P&P
Guide.
