Job Description

Summary:

The Financial Analyst will plan and direct the accounting operations for Southern Immediate Care.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversees the operations of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll. Oversees training programs and identifies training needs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk. Oversees the production of financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards. Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure Southern Immediate Care’s performance. Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to SIC Leadership. Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations. Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit. Works with outside CPAs to prepare required filings. Files quarterly and annual reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration required. Masters in Accounting desired. Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred. One to three years or more of related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Able to travel as needed.

Attire:

Business casual, SIC logo apparel for special events and activities.

Office Hours:

40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Hybrid schedule. Must travel for in-person meetings at clinics at least 1-2 times per month. Must be able to attend quarterly Board meetings. Attends virtual meetings as needed.

Language Ability:

Ability to effectively present information and respond to providers, clinical staff, and nonclinical staff questions. Flexible work from home options available.
