Job Description:

At Regions, the Regions Investment Management (RIM) Fundamental Analyst conducts fundamental analysis of individual companies, focusing on business factors such as: financial performance, competitive industry positioning, quality of company management, and anything that can affect the security value. Analyzes market sectors and market trends and may use quantitative screening tools Assembles and reviews data, conducting statistical analyses, and completing studies of industry groups or individual securities Develops knowledge and skills necessary for investment analysis and research Identifies investment opportunities through analysis of specific company fundamentals and broader industry dynamics Uses prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze and resolve problems. This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. This position is incentive eligible. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related Three (3) years experience in investment / portfolio management, brokerage, finance or related experience MBA may substitute for the experience Preferences Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics supplemented by technical training in financial and economic markets Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation Skills and Competencies Ability to execute and interpret extensive primary research Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Strong quantitative skills Strong work ethic Strong written, verbal and communication skills Understanding of business, accounting and finance Position Type Full time Compensation Details Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
