Davidson is seeking a Program Control Analyst in Huntsville, Alabama.
Davidson is seeking a proactive and innovative Program Control Analyst to support our supply chain and engineering services organizations. While this position is primarily focused on financial planning and program control, the ideal candidate will also bring data analytics and dashboarding skills to support ongoing digital transformation and reporting initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who is eager to contribute beyond traditional finance tasks, helping to drive data-driven decision-making and process improvements across the organization.
Responsibilities Program Control & Financial Planning (~70%)
Plan, authorize, monitor, and track program expenditures across multiple government contracts
Prepare and maintain budgets, forecasts, CDRLs and EACs
Facilitate project setup and authorization in company ERP (Deltek Costpoint)
Analyze and present weekly cost status reports, funding profiles, and contract deliverables
Validate invoices
Partner with internal teams (Program Management, Procurement, Accounting, etc.) to resolve financial and operational issues
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
Track and assess the impact of scope changes and planning exercises on project costs and schedules.
Support audits and reviews from DCAA, DCMA, and other oversight agencies as required
Data Analytics & Reporting Support (~30%)
Assist with data analytics efforts related to ongoing projects
Use Power BI (or comparable tools) to support the development and maintenance of dashboards and reports focused on both financial and operational performance
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, model data, and create visualizations to inform business decisions
Promote a culture of data accuracy, consistency, and innovation in analytics across the team
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field
3-5 years of relevant experience in Federal government contracting
Familiarity with complex contract types (e.g.
CPFF, FFP, T&M, IDIQ
) and government reporting requirements
Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI (or similar tool)
Experience developing rapport with key stakeholders, to include customers
Strong understanding of program control, financial reporting, and variance analysis
Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively drive results
S. Citizenship is required
Preferred:
Experience working in or supporting Supply Chain or Logistics organizations
Experience contributing to cross-functional data analytics or digital transformation initiatives
Familiarity with Cognos BI
Strong organizational and communication skills
