Overview
Element has an opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Finance team which supports our Aerospace and Energy business unit. This role will report to the Senior Finance Analyst and will have responsibility for budgeting and forecasting, analysis and addressing other requests from key stakeholders. The Senior Financial Analyst must partner and communicate effectively both across the operational team and finance team.
This position is located in our Huntsville lab: hybrid model
Responsibilities
Partners with the Connected Technologies and Mobility division in developing the annual budget and forecasts
Assists with coordinating capex tracker
Responsible for working with the division in the timely submission of business cases for capital projects including challenging the division when required
Responsible for submitting mid-month forecast and tracking costs for respective labs
Reviewing of P&L’s with operations team as part of month end close as well as reporting of results and other month end deliverables
Researches and resolves divisional inquiries for assigned functional areas
Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses
Ability to design and develop financial models to support decision making
Skills / Qualifications
Degree in Finance or Accounting
5 years of financial analysis experience in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and oral communication skills, with excellent attention to detail. A
Ability to interpret, disseminate and present information to a variety of internal and external audiences in a way that informs and influences their decision making.
Proven ability to think and plan strategically and achieve buy-in from the senior leaders in the organization.
Experience of working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical and organizational skills including the ability to balance and independently manage workload that includes multiple concurrent priorities
Advanced MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel in particular) plus D365
Ability to coordinate multiple, often demanding deadlines and multiple priorities
Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills, including the ability to work efficiently on numerous tasks simultaneously and to adapt to changing circumstances, often under time pressure.
Accounting experience is a plus
