Grant Financial and Program Analyst Position Available In South Central Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut

Job Description:

This is responsible administrative professional work to providea wide range of professional, technical, and administrative programassistance in relations primarily to City grants for the Office ofManagement and Budget. This job classification also requires astrong understanding of city policies and procedures andunderstanding local, state, federal or other guidelines related togrants. Duties include responsibilities for research, coordination,and administration involving multiple grants and programs acrossCity Departments. Work primarily involves but is not limited toprogram assistance, planning for program services; prepareproposals to request funding; monitor grant documentation andreporting requirements, filing various reports required by grantprograms, arranging for closeout reports and program audits,budgetary preparation and draw down request and preparing reportsrequired for the preparation of financial statements and audits,researching grant in conjunction with City Departments. Work isperformed under the general direction of the Director of Office ofManagement and Budget or designee and utilizes independentjudgement while adhering to established protocols and procedures.

The specific assignment is responsible for providing a wide rangeof professional, technical, and administrative program assistancein relation to the $20 million Community Change Grant recentlyawarded by the US Environmental Protection Agency to the City ofNew Haven and its project partners. The Community Change Grantprogram is a multi-faceted program requiring the City and itspartners to complete 12 projects that directly benefit residentsand serve climate and environmental goals.
