JOB DESCRIPTION
Monitors and actively coordinates the review of CTSI financial reports with supervision to fiscal support staff. Coordinates generation of necessary data to analyze program budget versus expenses and project future balances and availability of funds. Prepares, Analyzes and reconciles reports and makes recommendation to Aso Director on program budget activities. Monitors and reports on COM budget variances.
Management and oversight of financial processing workflows for CTSI including deposits, invoices-payables, Pcard, and Travel in myUFL systems. Analyzes and resolves account transaction issues. Responsibilities include supervision of other Fiscal staff to ensure that transactions are processed correctly in accordance with the different sources of funding. Preparing financial reports for Aso director. Works with supervised and workflow related positions to ensure timely processing, allocation and distribution of funds and ensure expenditures Responsible for training staff to ensure a clear understanding of CTSI fiscal processes and budgets.
Responsible for coordination of CTSI-UF Owned equipment meeting all UF and State of Florida Requirements for inventory. Coordinates with Asset Management and CTSI Program faculty and staff to ensure all acquisitions and dispositions are handled appropriately.
Assists with data collection for annual CTSI budget process for submission to the NIH as part of the
annual progress report.
Interprets budgeting policies and recommends programs to effectively manage budgeting. Oversees
workflow activities for other staff members not in direct report relationship to the position. Interprets budgeting policies and recommends programs to effectively manage budgeting.
EXPECTED SALARY

REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.
PREFERRED
Ability to interface independently and effectively with all levels of faculty, staff management, vendors, etc, both internal and external.
Thorough knowledge, experience and understanding of the College of Medicine and its relationship to the
entire University structure, NIH research funding guidelines, and other state regulations and procedures.
Ability to act as liaison and must have ability to interact with professionals of various contract and grant
funding sources, faculty, staff, University level contacts.
Ability to manipulate spreadsheets.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Extensive computer experience especially with Outlook, PeopleSoft fiscal and grant modules.
Can use Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to plan, organize, multi-task, and coordinate work assignments independently; ability to meet
deadlines.
Ability to work as part of a team toward organizational objectives. Ability to function under pressure, strict
deadlines and highly stressful circumstances.
