Job Title:
Project Controller Associate Description The Project Controller Associate is an entry-level position in financial planning, project controlling, and business operations. This position will work closely with senior project controllers, finance managers, and cross-functional teams to support various financial processes while gaining hands-on experience in a global, high-tech environment. Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility The Project Controller Associate will support the following areas:
Financial Planning Support:
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for key programs under the guidance of the Project Control Manager.
Data Entry & Reconciliation:
Ensure accurate and timely entry of financial data related to revenue, costs, and billing in accordance with internal policies.
Variance Analysis:
Support tracking of actuals against budgets and forecasts, assisting in identifying discrepancies and trends.
Project Tracking:
Monitor the financial health of ongoing programs by updating dashboards and maintaining tracking tools.
Reporting Assistance:
Assist in generating internal monthly financial reports and preparing documentation for external audits.
Learning Finance Tools:
Gain exposure to financial systems and tools used for project controlling and financial analysis.
Minimum Requirements:
Skills, Experience, Education, Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Certifications, Language Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field with 1-4+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 0-2+ years of relevant experience. Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail Basic understanding of financial principles (budgeting, forecasting, P&L, etc.) Proficient in Microsoft Excel Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a structured, collaborative environment Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team Preferred Qualifications Accounting and project control appetite ERP System understanding Strong skills in Office 365, especially in Excel Familiarity with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) is a plus but not required
Additional Information:
Entry or Junior level applicants welcome. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Possession of basic financial knowledge is advantageous. Proficiency in MS Excel is essential. Familiarity with financial analysis, FP&A, variance reporting, financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow management is expected.
