Accounting Full Job Description Position Overview:

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data, tracking performance metrics, preparing reports for management, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. This role will also include general bookkeeping duties to ensure accuracy in daily financial operations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a dynamic environment where both strategic analysis and hands-on accounting are required.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis:

Analyze financial performance, trends, and profitability across business units. Develop and maintain dashboards and financial reports for leadership review. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning. Provide cost analysis for HVAC projects and service contracts. Support pricing strategy reviews based on operational cost data.

Bookkeeping Duties:

Record daily financial transactions and reconcile bank statements. Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and client invoicing. Maintain general ledgers and ensure accuracy in journal entries. Prepare monthly financial statements and reports. Assist with payroll processing and contractor payments.

Compliance & Reporting:

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles and tax regulations. Prepare documentation for audits or financial reviews as needed. Collaborate with external accountants or consultants as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis and bookkeeping. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting tools. Strong understanding of GAAP and bookkeeping best practices. HVAC industry experience is a plus but not required. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
