$61.4K – $80.1K a year 1 day ago Qualifications 5 years Mid-level Full Job Description Job Summary Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Financial Analyst III in our Reimbursment Department at Southbank Plaza. This is a Full-Time Days opportunity. The Financial Analyst III works under the supervision of the Director of Reimbursement. Maintains information system for documenting and reporting interns and residents data for various reporting needs. The Financial Analyst III develops/maintains relationships with various partners in Graduate Medical Education. Works with Finance to ensure proper payment of professional services provided to Wolfson. Assists in the preparation of the Medicare/Medicaid Cost Reports as needed. Coordinates development of reports and systems to support various patient account monitoring projects. Assists in other departmental responsibilities as requested by Director and team. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for: Work with Wolfson GME Coordinator and affiliated Graduate Medical Education (GME) counterparts to provide accurate annual IRIS and Statewide Medicaid Residency Program flings. In conjunction with the Wolfson GME Coordinator, provide Wolfson leadership with data to assist in audit of costs associated with providing resident training. Maintain tracking of professional invoices and payment information. Work with Finance Director, leadership and affiliated institutions to resolve any discrepancies in fees. Provide affiliated institutions with invoice payment information, as necessary. Participate in bi-annual and annual reconciliation meetings with affiliated institutions, as necessary. Assist in preparation of the Medicare/Medicaid cost reports, as needed. Coordinate development of reports and systems to support various patient account monitoring projects, such as verification of proper account handling for potential Medicare bad debt accounts, monitoring of patient account adjustment transaction posting, insuring proper filing of claims for Medicare HMO IME reimbursement, etc. Work with IS and other departments to gain an understanding of the various sources and repositories for data needed to accomplish the department’s patient account monitoring projects goals. Review and interpret present and proposed hospital billing and payment regulations. Demonstrates standard of performance (ownership, teamwork communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence This position has access to and knowledge of extremely sensitive, private and confidential materials. Ability to maintain the highest standard is required with zero tolerance. This Financial Analyst III will be located at Southbank Plaza.
