The Treasury Cash Management Analyst supports Suncoast Credit Union’s cash management and funding activities as part of the credit union’s financial management and performance strategy. Primary responsibilities include forecasting appropriate cash levels for Suncoast’s ATM/ITM fleet and coordinating replenishments with our third-party provider. This position will leverage analytics to optimize cash levels and streamline operations. The Treasury Cash Management Analyst will work with internal stakeholders to support a positive experience for members by minimizing ATM/ITM downtime due to cash shortages. This role will be responsible for providing treasury activities related to ATM/ITM cash flows, oversight of cash management, daily overnight funding and member deposit activities. The incumbent will be familiar with treasury concepts, practices, and procedures and must be creative and have sound judgment to plan and accomplish a variety of treasury tasks and goals.
Responsibilities
Oversee ATM/ITM cash forecasting analytics leveraging third-party models to optimize cash levels and reduce machine downtime.
Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain sound processes covering ATM/ITM cash management.
Perform daily overnight funding activities. Identify opportunities to improve funding forecasting capabilities.
Develop reporting capabilities for ATM/ITM cash management and forecasting program.
Deliver analysis and interpretation of results to Treasury and FP&A management, incorporating feedback as appropriate.
Deliver daily deposit analysis and monitor changes to deposit mix and funding costs.
Works collaboratively with second and third lines of defense, and other independent review and challenge partners.
Analyze, interpret and communicate detailed quantitative results and analyses to key stakeholders.
Participates in development of key processes surrounding cash management and funding; Appreciates a strong governance environment and the need to create and maintain strong controls.
Maintain knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting the area of expertise.
Attend educational events to increase professional knowledge.
Complete annual compliance and info security training to understand employees’ role in maintaining effective compliance and security programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or a related field
3+ years of experience in treasury or cash management, preferably with a financial institution
Experience interpreting financial models and incorporating into action plans
Good knowledge of the financial services sector
Knowledge of treasury and cash management concepts and financial markets at financial institutions
Programming skills in Python, R, or other object-oriented languages is recommended
Ability to prioritize tasks by effectively managing competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines
Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized with task management
Ability to analyze and resolve difficult and often complex problems or situations
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators
Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures
Strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance
Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union computer systems and software applications
