Gastromed and companies are seeking an initiative-taking and meticulous Financial Analyst to join our Finance Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a financial analyst who is looking to thrive in a demanding environment while contributing to the success and growth of our companies.
Job Summary:
As a Financial Analyst, you will play an integral role in financial reporting, analysis, and interpretation. You will work closely with the CFO on financial analysis of revenues, expenses, physician distributions, managed care and vendor contracts analysis, revenue cycle performance and reporting, bank reconciliations, financial reporting and more. The ideal candidate thrives under deadlines, has a keen eye for detail, high analytical with database and Excel expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed account analysis and variance reporting.
- Analyze managed care and vendor contracts.
- Responsible for revenue cycle reporting and reconciliation
- Prepare monthly revenue and expense variance analysis.
- Assist with the preparation of month-end financial statements and annual budgets.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and analyze financial data.
- Automate financial reporting for increased productivity.
- Collaborate on audits and prepare the required schedules.
- Maintain compliance with established accounting and financial procedures in a paperless environment.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
Experience:
2 years of hands-on accounting/finance experience in a preferred healthcare environment.
Skills:
Proficient in QuickBooks, Databases and MS Excel, including creating complex spreadsheets.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills and adaptability to shifting priorities.
Knowledge:
Working understanding of GAAP and healthcare analytics.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience automating financial reports.
- Familiarity with preparing audit schedules and financial forecasts.
- Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle and reimbursements.
