Position Summary:

My client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Private Equity Associate to join their team. This individual will play a critical role in both acquisitions and asset management, contributing to the growth and performance of their residential real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical skill set, experience in real estate investing, and a passion for uncovering value in middle-market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
Acquisitions:

Conduct market research and financial analysis to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities in the residential sector. Perform detailed underwriting of real estate assets, including financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, and risk assessment. Assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentations for internal committees and investors. Support due diligence efforts, including coordinating with external consultants, reviewing property-level documents, and conducting site visits.

Asset Management:

Monitor the performance of portfolio assets, including financial performance, operational efficiency, and market positioning. Work closely with property management and operational teams to implement strategies that enhance asset value and maximize returns. Prepare regular performance reports and updates for senior management and investors. Identify opportunities for value creation, including renovations, re-positioning, or operational improvements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in real estate private equity, investment banking, or a related field. Strong proficiency in financial modeling, including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis and IRR calculations. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Knowledge of the US real estate market and broader residential trends is highly desirable.
