The Role Our client is seeking a Senior Equity Research Analyst to join their investment team. The incoming analyst will effectively serve as the number two on the team, working directly with the Portfolio Manager and helping drive investment research across the portfolio. This is a hands-on role that blends data analysis, modeling, and traditional research. The analyst will take the lead on developing new investment ideas, maintaining models, and delivering actionable insights. Responsibilities Analyze live consumer and market data to identify trends and investment opportunities Build, update, and maintain detailed financial models Conduct fundamental research and develop original investment theses Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate risk/reward Draft internal research notes and present findings to the Portfolio Manager Take ownership of day-to-day research tasks and portfolio monitoring Candidate Profile 1-3 years of experience in equity research or investment analysis (buy-side or sell-side) Ideal for a first- or second-year buy-side analyst or sell-side associate looking to step into a more senior, impactful role Strong quantitative and modeling skills, with comfort working independently Clear communication and writing ability Deep curiosity, attention to detail, and a long-term investor mindset Location & Structure The Portfolio Manager is based in Miami; candidates can work from the Miami office or remotely from other U.S. locations While flexible on location, the role requires high engagement and regular communication
