Position Summary:

Performs daily audits/analysis and outcome assessments on accuracy of patient data, both system-related and process-related, for Revenue Management departments and for operational areas that impact patient registration, billing and/or collections.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:

 Reviews appropriate reports and databases to monitor patient account errors and track trends/errors.  Maintains reports, statistics and documentation as assigned.  Establishes communication protocols with customers to provide ongoing feedback regarding accuracy/errors.  Communicates individual and departmental scores/trends to the department manager and to managers/supervisors within Revenue Management or other operational areas as appropriate.  Assists and supports the implementation of process improvements, both intradepartmental and interdepartmental.  Reports issues identified during the audit/analysis process, including those pertaining to charge management and compliance, the department manager for appropriate resolution.  Assists in expediting issue resolutions as assigned.  Participates in the communication process between the department manager, the Revenue Management Applications Teams, and Trainers.  Maintains the integrity of the Master Patient Index (MPI) by ensuring each patient has one medical record number making necessary changes in all impacted Orlando Health systems.  Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.  Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions  Participates in corporate downtime recovery and emergency intakes as assigned.
 Participates in all requirements of the Professional Development Program focusing on systems, reimbursement and customer service.

Qualifications:
Education/Training:

High school graduate or equivalent.

Licensure/Certification:

None.

Experience:

Two years of Revenue Management / HIM experience.
