About the Role – Senior Accounting Reporting Analyst As a Senior Accounting Reporting Analyst, you will oversee financial reporting processes, manage month-end close activities, and support accounting operations such as cash, group insurance, goodwill, and retirement accounts. You’ll also mentor staff accountants, research technical accounting issues, and assist with audits and special projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the month-end close process, including journal entry review, approvals, and reconciliations
Supervise and mentor staff accountants, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Oversee primary accounting processes, including cash, group insurance, goodwill, and retirement accounts
Assist with quarterly and annual reviews/audits and lead special projects
Research and interpret technical accounting and financial reporting guidance
Develop accounting/finance models to forecast quarterly and annual financial results
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations teams to provide financial insights
What We’re Looking For:
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3+ years of accounting experience
Public accounting experience
Strong proficiency in Excel and analytical skills
Project management experience with a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts
Self-starter with a proactive mindset to drive improvements
Preferred:
Advanced degree (MBA, CPA, or equivalent) (CPA highly preferred)
Experience in public accounting (highly preferred)
Familiarity with analytical tools such as R, Alteryx, or robotic process automation
Knowledge of statistics, corporate finance, and accounting principles
Experience with financial systems like HFM, Oracle, MicroStrategy BI, or OneStream
