The Financial Analyst supports the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis with an active role in forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting for the University. This role contributes to the completion of broad, complex, and highly visible University projects and goals, often representing the University Finance and Budget Office in key areas. The work involves coordination and interaction with various departments across all campuses, including routine handling of sensitive and confidential information. This position reviews current business processes and recommends modifications to streamline and increase consistency and accuracy.
Responsibilities include the following:
Analysis & Reporting Identifies and improves financial position by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans, forecasts, peer data, and internal benchmarks. Conducts market-specific research to identify industry trends and assess financial and operational impact. Creates accurate reports, templates, models, and projections. Summarizes findings through visuals and written analysis. Leadership Reviews Supports the development of presentation materials and financial insights for the Board of Trustees and senior leadership. Planning Assists in preparing the University’s forecast and long-range financial plan. Analyzes key performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
