JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this classification, under administrative direction, is evaluating, reconciling, and problem-solving regarding accounting and budgeting. Employees in this classification perform complex accounting, budgeting, grants, fixed assets, project costing, business planning and forecasting and feasibility studies. Position is responsible for coordinating and reviewing grants, preparing journal entries, preparing fund financial statements, and less complex notes to the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), and related accounting reports. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited higher educational institution; supplemented by two (2) years previous experience and /or training in governmental accounting functions. Any combination of education, training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid FL Driver’s License or ID Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO) preferred •
