We are seeking a full-time Asset Manager to work out ofour Buckhead, Atlanta office.
Responsibilities Oversee and manage a distressed commercial property during areceivership, primarily focused on preserving the asset’s value bymanaging leasing activities, collecting rent, maintaining theproperty, and reporting to the court while working towards apotential sale of the property. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and economicfactors to inform investment decisions and asset positioning. Monitor the client’s portfolio periodically through strategicasset tracking. Prepare detailed financial reports on property performance,including income statements, cash flow analysis, and keyperformance indicators (KPIs). Identify and prioritize capital improvement projects tomaintain property value and enhance tenant satisfaction. Identify potential risks associated with the property portfolioand implement mitigation strategies. Ensure adherence to all relevant legal and regulatoryrequirements related to property management. Serve as court-appointed receiver. Dive into the current investment market and study the latesttrends in terms of its RoI, shortcomings, risks and benefits. Be available to the clients, in person and by calls, to provideguidance on fund management. Review the asset management and make changes and tweaks to theinvestments as and when required. Liaise with auditors, property managers, income tax executivesand other professionals on matters relating to the client’s assetmanagement.
Required skills and qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, businessadministration, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate investment,property management, or asset management. Prior experience working as an asset manager or in a similarrole. Strong understanding of the multifamily real estate market andleasing practices. Understanding of financial management or modelling andunderstanding of financial regulations. Comprehensive knowledge of commercial real estate markettrends, lease structures, property management practices, and legalconsiderations. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informedinvestment decisions. Ability to manage and motivate property management teams toachieve performance goals. Familiarity with receivership procedures and courtregulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills withstakeholders including investors, property managers, tenants, andinternal teams. Proven ability to negotiate lease terms and contracts withtenants and vendors. Proficient in Microsoft Word for creating and formattingdocuments, including reports and letters. Ability to develop compelling presentations using MicrosoftPowerPoint. Skilled in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, creatingpivot tables, and generating charts.
