Under general supervision, this position analyzes financial information and prepares financial reports to document or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss or other financial activities with an agency. This role also evaluates, audits and maintains accounts and transaction processing to ensure GAAP compliance.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Review and evaluate vendor invoices and supporting documents received to ensure the information is accurate prior to creating vouchers and issuing payments Process and enter vendor invoices into TeamWorks FinancialsTrack invoice payments utilizing the AP Tracker, follow-up on discrepancies, and monitor activity to ensure completion and timely paymentsVerify entries processed by reviewing team member’s vouchers for accuracy Review vouchers on hold and unposted vouchers reports weekly and follow-upMaintain financial records in Laserfiche and ensure that the financial transactions are properly recorded to the general ledgerDistribute mail and invoices to Program staff and reconcile monthly statementsRequest and review monthly vendor invoice statementsAbility to provide support and respond to requests from auditors, vendors, management, program managers, and team membersProvide training and assistance to staff on Accounting policies and proceduresPerform monthly accounts payable reconciliationsPerform other additional job duties as assigned
