Our client is currently seeking a Analyst, Accounting for a 6 month + contract. Candidates with experience in contract reconciliation and resolving open balances at a contract level would be highly valuable. Additionally, familiarity with financial reconciliation, attention to detail, and problem-solving in complex accounting or operational environments would help a candidate stand out. Remote o Work hours/shift time 8am CST – 5pm CST (1 hour lunch). Can be flexible to EST hours Top 3 skill sets: Looking for candidates with strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and capital expenditure schedules. Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles. Provides financial support, including forecasting, budgeting and analyzing variations from budget. Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements and reports. Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects. This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. Roles typically require a university degree or an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience. Job requires an understanding and application of procedures and concepts of own discipline. The job requires the ability to make judgements based on practice and previous experience.
