  • Job Purpose To enhance the return of Voya Investment Management’s different client portfolios by executing trades and managing risk positions within a specified Investment Grade sector coverage.

The trader will be responsible for collaborating with the credit research team to make timely trade recommendations based on relative value and expected changes in issuer fundamental profiles. This position will be responsible for recommending trades and for monitoring the risk position of holdings in the insurance accounts, pension fund, and mutual fund family. The trader will be responsible for Utilities and/or Industrials and will work in a collaborative manner with the Investment Grade Credit Team’s other credit analysts and portfolio managers. Experience trading credit derivatives and ETFs are a plus. Main Responsibilities Execute trades for a specific set of IG industry sectors. Monitor trading levels and relay market data and technical analysis to the overall IG team. Develop trading strategies to find the best relative value among issuers and among the industry sectors assigned. Build relationships with Wall Street brokers, traders, and analysts to glean additional insights on market, industry, and issuer credit developments. Collaborate with portfolio managers to implement portfolio strategies. Participate in relative value/credit meetings. Perform ad hoc analysis in support for other departments as assigned on occasion. Understand and comply with firm policies and procedures while performing the roles outlined above. Minimum Knowledge & Qualifications 15+ years of credit trading/portfolio management experience. MBA Degree, CFA Designation, or equivalent is preferred. Strong skills in technical analysis and problem solving. Ability to be forward looking and to correlate anticipated changes in market technicals with relative value. Detail oriented yet able to maintain a broad perspective. Ability to clearly and concisely communicate trade ideas to broader team. Strong team player who believes in an integrated team driven investment process. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong computer and data management skills. Additional Information The job will be in-office on a hybrid schedule based in our Atlanta, GA. Experience with a previous top-tier buy-side/sell side firm preferred. #LI-MG1

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities. The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. $156,000
