POSITION OVERVIEW
This Senior Financial Analyst – Strategic Finance role serves as a key strategic partner to cross-functional teams, delivering financial insights and data-driven recommendations that inform critical business decisions. The position requires advanced financial modeling skills, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST – STRATEGIC FINANCE
Build sophisticated financial models to support long-term planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
Analyze and integrate financial statements (income, balance sheet, and cash flow).
Create valuation models using income, market, and transaction-based methods.
Model synergies and develop pro forma projections for M&A transactions.
Participate in due diligence and post-merger integration efforts.
Work with large datasets for assumption-driven financial modeling.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, manufacturing, etc.) to provide financial insight.
Present analyses and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
Develop clear and impactful PowerPoint presentations to communicate findings.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST – STRATEGIC FINANCE
4 – 7 years of experience in financial analysis, strategic finance, corporate finance, or consulting/financial advisory.
Advanced financial modeling and forecasting expertise (including
DCF, IRR, NPV
).
Strong grasp of budgeting, variance analysis, and profitability modeling.
Deep understanding of financial statement interrelationships.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables, macros).
Skilled in handling and analyzing large, complex datasets.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex financial concepts.
Ability to independently manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Financial Analyst –
Strategic Finance:
Experience supporting M&A activity (valuation, due diligence, integration).
Proficiency with Power BI or similar analytics tools.
Experience presenting financial insights to executive or C-suite audiences.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
MBA or CFA/CPA is preferred.
