Job Description Summary:
The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) analyst is responsible for gathering and analyzing financial data to create financial models, reports, and forecasts, providing insights to support strategic decision-making within a company, including budgeting, performance tracking, and identifying potential risks and opportunities through detailed analysis of key financial metrics.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans. Develop and maintain financial models for various business units and projects. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis. Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting. Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making. Assist in the evaluation of potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions. Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Other Finance and Accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, investment banking, accounting, or a similar role. Strong financial modeling and analytical skills. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications. Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysis. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
