Financial Analyst – Hodge, LA
This position will be located at the Hodge mill and will be on-site 5 days a week.
The opportunity:
The Hodge Mill is seeking a Financial Analyst who will be an integral part of the Financial Team working with other departments, divisions, and corporate staff to provide data and analysis of overall mill operations. This role will be responsible for collecting and analyzing financial data to ensure timely and accuratepletion of mill financial statements and reporting. This role will also help to identify drivers affecting performance and results. How you will impact
WestRock:
Provide analytical support to one or more of the functional areas of the Hodge mill. Partner with the area team to identify, track, and improve key drivers affecting performance and results
Assist in the development and documentation of processes and procedures to improve the quality of financial analysis and drive stronger ownership and accountability of results
Active involvement in the forecasting and budgeting process
Support the monthly closing process by gathering and analyzing data required for journal entries, statistical postings, and inventory reconciliation. Review usage trends, ie statement, and balance sheet balances to ensure accuracy before the final close Analyze accounts in the General Ledger System to ensure proper accruals at period close
Develop and maintain documentation of internal controls applicable to the assigned functional areas
Coordinate with internal and external auditors as needed
Perform inventory testing periodically and document results
Support operations by developing savings calculations and tracking active projects
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
2+ years of related experience in Pulp and Paper industry or manufacturing is preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced skills in Excel
Hyperion SmartView experience a plus
Detailed oriented team player who can consistently meet deadlines, adapt quickly, work well with all levels of theanization, and possess the ability to work independently as needed
Strong interpersonal,munication,puter, and team building skills
Stronganizational skills and ability to multi-task in a continuously changing environment.
