JOB DESCRIPTION MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business, or equivalent and two (2) to five (5) years of professional experience in financial analysis and/or financial reporting.
JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE
Performs intermediate-level analysis work; financial and portfolio reporting; ad-hoc reporting; and monthly reporting work that is varied and moderately complex in nature; works under moderate supervision. Provides Subject Matter Expert support for financial systems used. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates future financial systems and needs. Supports and performs changes to financial system used by the association. Serve as the primary point person responsible for data collection and publication of financial reports. Develop and maintain a support retention process for public financial reports. Prepare monthly updates with budget software to provide projections and support to management. Serve as the primary point person for budget preparation, including key performance measures. Oversee and manage the managerial reporting aspect including report development, support retention and financial analysis. Monitor and report on key trends including sustainable growth levels, capital levels, interest yield, interest margin and interest spread. Will provide support to the Accounting and Loan Operations team as to support request, reconciliation inquires, reporting development and data inquires.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
OTHER DUTIES:
Compiles and analyzes financial information for the organization.
For example:
portfolio reporting. Develops analyses, projections, reports, and presentations. Creates and analyzes reports and ensures information has been recorded accurately. Identifies trends and developments and presents findings to management. Provide Subject Matter Expert support for financial systems used. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates financial systems, needs, and processes. Develops data reports, loan portfolios; assist in the design of information binders for monthly board meetings.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
General knowledge of accounting/financial systems. Specialized knowledge of accounting/finance principles. Skill in oral and written communication. Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to perform basic accounting/financial analyses under moderate supervision. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to stand for limited periods of time. Ability to walk for moderate distances. Frequent finger/hand manipulation (e.g. keyboard, office equipment, small hand tools, etc.) Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling while exerting up to 50 pounds of force
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Frequent interaction with association departmental staff and management. Occasional interaction with Farm Credit Bank of Texas staff. Occasional interaction with area professionals including real estate agents, commercial bankers, and others who deal with the association in the normal course of business.
