Financial Analyst II (Tier II) at Robert Half in Auburn, Maine, United States Job Description Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst II to join our team in Auburn, Maine. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in billing and reconciliation processes. The role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders. This position will remain remote. However if converted to FTE. The position will be Hybrid 3 days in office/2 days remote.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough reviews of carrier statements to identify payment inconsistencies and ensure plan participants are charged accurately.
- Perform monthly verification and accuracy checks on assigned accounts, ensuring corrections are promptly reported to appropriate stakeholders.
- Develop and implement strategic processes to enhance financial accuracy, utilizing critical thinking to independently resolve issues.
- Communicate analytical findings clearly to internal and external partners, fostering understanding and actionable insights.
- Adhere to established payment and reconciliation procedures while remaining adaptable to evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with various departments and external entities to ensure proper billing procedures are followed and supported.
- Apply advanced financial analysis techniques to improve operational efficiency and maintain financial health.

- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with advanced reconciliation processes.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on critical thinking.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to explain financial concepts and resolutions.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
- Familiarity with billing and payment reconciliation procedures.
