About the Agency

About the Position
This position is in the Office of Information Technology. This Auditor will be primarily responsible for managing the financial modules of the MARS system and reviewing new and existing legislation to determine modifications necessary for compliance with government regulations. They are required to identify changes needed and create solution requests for developers. This individual would be responsible for ensue system updates, document their analysis, and communicate their findings to both the technical and business units. They will also work closely with our internal accounting department to ensure all necessary information is received and updated in MARS, MARVIN, and MAGIC. This individual will also train and give oral presentations regarding our financial modules as needed.

The ideal applicant will have knowledge of system testing and business processes for revenue accounting, be proficient in preparing test data and conducting pre

  • and post-implementation testing, demonstrate proficiency in researching and analyzing technical information, have independent research skills, and have strong analytical skills.

Strong Analytical, Problem Solving, Research, Verbal and Written Communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 0-2 years of experience.

Agency preferred qualifications:

bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in accounting or a related field and 1-3 years of experience with 24 hours of accounting as identified below: 18 hours from the following courses:

  • Principles of Accounting I and II
  • Intermediate Accounting I and II
  • Federal Income Tax
  • Auditing The remaining 6 hours may be selected from the following:
  • Cost Accounting
  • Advanced Accounting
  • Business Law
  • Advanced Auditing
  • Accounting Systems
  • Managerial Accounting
