Summary of Job Duties:

The Data Analyst supports the UADA central finance team by using various data systems (Workday, Streamlyne, Access, etc.) to create dashboards aiding in strategic and operational decision-making. This position also guides finance staff as well as Department heads in dashboard use and supports reporting needs. The Data Analyst maintains and develops Microsoft Access databases, is an expert resource in Excel, and will be a lead on Workday report writing to assist with the creation of finance and HCM reports. The Data Analyst also acts as the Finance Security Partner in Workday which includes assigning finance security roles and assisting central finance in annual security role reviews. The analyst may also lead special reporting projects and reports to the Senior Director of Business Planning and Intelligence.

Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:

Collect, clean, and validate data from various data sources. Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to visualize KPIs and financial performance. Develop and maintain Access databases to manage, query, and extract relevant financial data. Assist with developing reporting tools using current technology to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders. Workday report writer for the central Business Office. Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve data accuracy. Collaborate with finance teams to ensure data consistency and alignment. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education. 3+ years of experience in a data analyst or finance-related role. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Power BI. Experience with Microsoft Access. Advanced experience with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros). Knowledge of VBA or scripting for automation in Excel/Access. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle). Previous work experience at an institution of higher education. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to work effectively alone as well as with a team. Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to prepare and present oral and written presentations to stakeholders at various levels within the organization. Ability to apply an ethical code and good judgment, and to handle confidential materials and situations with sensitivity and discretion. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
