Job Description

Brown & Brown is seeking a Finance Associate to join our growing team in Greensboro, NC! As a Finance Associate, you will analyze financial statements and build Excel-based models to assess performance, support forecasting, and drive strategic planning. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, evaluate insurance metrics, and deliver actionable insights through reports and presentations for leadership.

How You Will Contribute:

Analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to assess financial performance and identify trends. Utilize Excel to build financial models, perform variance analysis, and create reports. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Assist in evaluating insurance operations metrics and their financial impact. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and improve financial reporting. Identify opportunities to optimize financial processes and support decision-making. Prepare presentations and reports for leadership. Skills & Experience to

Be Successful:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. (preferred) Internship or academic experience in finance, accounting, or insurance. (preferred) Knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools is a plus. (preferred) Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups and financial modeling. Basic understanding of insurance operations and key industry concepts. Ability to interpret balance sheets and income statements and explain financial trends. Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Self-starter with a results-driven approach and a commitment to a meritocratic workplace.
