Full Job Description Procurement Analyst Job Summary:
NearU is now hiring for an experienced Procurement Analyst to join our rapidly growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in NearU’s supply chain management process. Reporting to the Senior Director of Risk & Fleet Services, the Procurement Analyst will gather and evaluate data from various sources (including supplier performance metrics, market trends, inventory levels, and financial indicators), collaborate with the operations and finance team to identify cost-saving opportunities, assess supplier capabilities, manage procurement risks, and drive continuous improvement in the procurement process. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including suppliers, internal departments, and finance teams.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Analyzing spend data and identifying cost-saving opportunities Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance and compliance Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers and trends Creating and maintaining procurement reports and dashboards Assisting in contract negotiations for procurement agreements Supporting the operations team in supplier relationship management Responding to ad-hoc data requests from the operations team, the finance teams and other departments Participating in cross-functional meetings to align procurement strategies with organizational goals Collaborating with finance teams to ensure procurement activities align with budgetary constraints Evaluating and recommending improvements to procurement policies and procedures
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent analytical skills and business acumen Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that can drive procurement decisions Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Experience in procurement or supply chain management preferred.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s or similar degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management or finance Preferred in construction, HVAC, electrical, or a related industry
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
